Remaining Thankful
Especially during trying times
Not to be overly dramatic, but this week I encountered one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. I ended up spending 45 minutes on the phone without my issue being resolved. I spent so much time waiting that my hand literally fell asleep holding the phone. I was beyond frustrated, and yet, I realize that God is in control, He loves me, and He will not abandon me.
In the midst of such trials, it is difficult to remain thankful. Yet, I find that, when I do thank God, especially on the hardest days, my outlook brightens. It is hard for my gratefulness to co-exist with despair.
The more grateful I am, the happier I become. Granted, I can’t get those 45 minutes of my life back, but perhaps the good Lord is teaching me patience. That’s a lesson to be grateful for.
I hope that this Easter season brings you many reasons to be grateful, and many occasions to see God at work in your life. May you be richly blessed!
